Abstract

Objective: to analyse canine distemper virus, diagnosis, treatment and biosecurity. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: The high prevalence of CDV in different species and its ability to jump between them, together with its impact on wildlife, reinforce the need to implement robust epidemiological surveillance strategies and vaccination programmes adapted to local variants of the virus.
