Objective: to identify diagnostic methods for swine cholera virus. Methods: Documentary descriptive. Conclusion: Advances in pig cholera virus diagnostic methods have had a significant impact on the ability to manage and control this disease in the pig industry. The incorporation of advanced technologies, such as real-time RT-PCR, multiplex qRT-PCR and CRISPR/Cas13a, has greatly improved the accuracy and speed of virus detection, allowing effective differentiation between virulent and vaccine strains. These methods have not only optimised epidemiological surveillance, but have also facilitated rapid and targeted outbreak response, reducing the risk of spread and mitigating associated economic losses.
