Abstract

Objective: to analyze the diagnosis and treatment of Coccidiosis in rabbits. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Although significant advances have been made in the diagnosis and treatment of coccidiosis in rabbits, important challenges remain, especially in the accurate differentiation of Eimeria species and in the management of resistance to traditional coccidiostats. The incorporation of molecular techniques has improved diagnostic accuracy, but their large-scale implementation is limited by economic and logistical considerations. The growing interest in alternative treatments based on natural products offers a promising approach for the sustainable management of coccidiosis, underlining the need for further research in this field to optimize control and treatment strategies under diverse husbandry conditions.
