Effectiveness of health education for the prevention of diabetes in older adults

Abstract

Objective: It was to analyze the effectiveness of health education for the prevention of diabetes in older adults. Method: It was based on the quantitative perspective using the documentary-bibliographic typology that helps to establish the analysis of the object of research. The material approached consisted of refereed works and scientific research, thus discovering characteristics and relationships between the elements of the research. Results: Educational interventions are essential to improve quality of life, prevent disease and promote healthy lifestyles. Conclusion: A key tool for preventing diabetes in older adults is health education. We can improve people's quality of life and reduce the impact of this chronic disease by giving them the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices.
