Abstract

Objective: To analyze primary amenorrhea from the scientific literature. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Primary amenorrhea is a complex gynecological disorder that requires a comprehensive and personalized diagnostic approach to identify its underlying etiology, which can range from anatomical abnormalities to endocrine and genetic dysfunctions. Early and accurate diagnosis is crucial to prevent long-term complications, such as infertility and psychosocial problems, and to guide appropriate treatment, which may range from lifestyle modifications to surgical interventions and hormonal therapies.
