The role of the unconscious in psychopathology: A Freudian analysis of anxiety disorders

Objective: The general aim was to analyse the role of the unconscious in psychopathology: A Freudian analysis of anxiety disorders. Method: This research is based on the quantitative approach, using the documentary-bibliographic typology. The research design was of two types: descriptive and documentary. Results: According to their clinical observations. They observed that mental phenomena affect the quality of conscious thinking. Conclusion: Freudian psychoanalysis helps patients to understand the inner conflicts that cause anxiety by making the unconscious conscious. The therapist assists the patient to explore their unconscious through techniques such as free association, dream analysis and transference
