Objective: to analyze the adequate use of fluid therapy in the management of acute pancreatitis. Method: A predominantly qualitative methodology, descriptive in scope, and the historical-logical and analytical-synthetic theoretical methods were used. Documentary analysis was used as the empirical level method, and various data search strategies were used according to the PRISMA method. Results: it could be evidenced that the most favorable treatment of acute pancreatitis is the use of fluids together with antibiotic therapy. Conclusion: it is concluded that fluid therapy is a crucial component for the patient's prognosis, recommending personalization in the administration of fluids, adapting it to the individual needs of each patient
