Objective: To analyze conditions caused by stress and anxiety in medical students. Method: Descriptive observational. Conclusion: Stress and anxiety are natural responses of the body that are activated in moments of pressure. These responses cause pathologies when they occur with intensity and over a prolonged period of time, making medical students a group vulnerable to multiple affections, being the most exposed due to the pressure that the career naturally exerts. This causes students to present physical affections such as lack of energy, headaches, tiredness and stiffness in the neck, diarrhea, dehydration, headaches, and changes in physical constitution, due to increase or lack of appetite, added to a deteriorated state due to the lack of physical activity.
