Abstract

Objective: nursing care in patients with covid-19 in prone position under mechanical ventilation was analyzed. Methods: Documentary review. Results: The patient should be repositioned in prone decubitus every 2 hours and on the side, at least 3 to 5 people should intervene in this procedure to achieve the correct positioning of the intubated patient in prone position, the severe limitation to take into account is the long-term maintenance in this position. Conclusion: The nursing care used during the prone position is to provide care before, during and after the patient's pronation, to reduce complications, achieving a prompt recovery in patients.
