Abstract

Objective: to analyze nursing care in the administration of vasoactive drugs in the emergency department. Methods: Systematic review of 15 scientific articles. Results and conclusions: The use of these vasoactive drugs will depend on the hemodynamic, systemic and autoregulatory state of the patient, for such reasons the nursing staff has the obligation to know the functioning of these drugs in pathologies that require such use, as for example in septic shock where they are used due to the affectation of the thyroid axis of T3 or in pregnant women, where they must be prepared to apply the appropriate treatment in case of hypotension due to the seriousness of the consequences that this entails both in the mother and in the fetus.
