Nursing care to prevent complications in patients with endotracheal intubation

Objective: to analyze nursing care to prevent complications in patients with endotracheal intubation. Method: systematic review by documentary analysis of 15 scientific articles. Results and conclusions: The physician is the one who performs the endotracheal intubation, but it is the nurse who assists and prepares both the necessary material and the patient, so it is essential to be aware of the respiratory, hemodynamic, cardiac complications and complications of soft tissue and oral cavity damage that arise from the preparatory phase to the induction phase and after endotracheal intubation, Therefore, in order to prevent or reduce these complications, it is necessary to know the nursing care or interventions that should be offered to the patient in order to improve and satisfactorily assist in the patient's recovery and reduce morbidity and mortality.
