Knowledge of nursing of thrombolytic administration in patients with acute myocardial infarction

Objective: To determine the knowledge of nursing staff in the care of thrombolytic administration in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods: descriptive observational study. Results: 72.5% of the respondents know that the mechanism of action of Alteplase, active inducing conversion of plasminogen to plasmin leading to dissolution of the fibrin clot. Conclusion: It is verified that part of the staff is unaware of the treatment, so training is required to strengthen continuing education and the implementation of tools that favor nursing interventions and actions for patients who need fibrinolytic treatment.
