Abstract

Objective: To analyze nursing care in patients with barotrauma during mechanical ventilation. Method: Descriptive documentary study. Results and Conclusion: The need to know the appropriate parameters for the management of patients with barotrauma tends to minimize the complications and aggressiveness of mechanical ventilation in patients with respiratory failure. Thus, a nursing protocol favors a decrease in the mortality and morbidity rate in critically ill patients. Timely and effective identification by a prepared healthcare team helps to improve the therapeutic improvement of individuals in hospital centers.
