Abstract

Objective: to determine the risk factors of the hospital environment that provoke anxiety in hospitalized patients of the ICU of the OMNI HOSPITAL in the city of Guayaquil - Ecuador. Method: descriptive observational study. Results and Conclusion: 40% do not tolerate at all the external factors of their environment that cause them anxiety and discomfort generating in them alteration of their vital signs, sleep and even mood changes, they manifest inconformity and difficulty to express themselves, many of them are afraid of dying since that is one of the most prevalent evaluated parameters, as well as seeing their other companions in the area suffer or scream because of pain, which in many cases they suffer it and are unable to understand what is happening around them.
