Abstract

Objective: to analyze nursing care in the prevention of complications in neonates with percutaneous catheter. Method: Descriptive documentary. Results and Conclusion: The percutaneous catheter is a device which has many advantages for the newborn, including lower costs, shorter hospitalization time, effective intravenous therapy and avoids multiple punctures. Having protocols and permanent training for the nursing staff helps to avoid and reduce the possible complications that may occur in the use of percutaneous catheters.
