Nursing intervention in neonates undergoing parenteral nutrition in intensive care units

Objective: to determine the nursing interventions in neonates with parenteral nutrition in Intensive Care Units. Method: Descriptive documentary, this work was developed through a review with the support of 17 articles in English and Spanish. Results and Conclusion: The neonatal pathologies that require nursing care based on parenteral nutrition are mainly: the presence of short bowel, intestinal transplant rejection, malabsorption syndrome, pancreatitis, enteric fistula, diffuse peritonitis, uncontrolled intestinal contents or lymphatic leakage, as well as intestinal obstruction.
