Abstract

Objective: to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in the medical staff of Hospital General Puyo during 2021. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: The sample consisted of 70 workers, 48 (68.5%) of whom were female, 39 (55.7%), of whom 40% (28) reported neck pain.  The predominant age group in this study was under 50 years with 67 workers, of whom 46 (65.7%) expressed neck pain, with a p=0.94 and an OR=0.91, with no statistically significant association. Conclusion: In terms of years of experience, workers from 3 to 10 years reported upper back and neck pain, presenting 1.10 times greater risk of suffering upper back pain. The most affected areas were upper back and neck, with 48 and 47 workers affected, respectively.
