Abstract

Objective: to describe the relationship between the thermal work environment and the health conditions presented in workers due to exposure to heat and cold in the company Prodegel S.A. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: The Pearson Chi-square statistical test was applied, calculated with a result of Pearson Chi-square 51.416a; with gl 7; (p<0.01); obtaining a value greater than the critical Chi-square, which reflects an adequate validity between the relationship of the company's areas and the presence of dermatitis, highlighting areas such as Wet/Dry. Conclusion: It was possible to identify the main aspects in the discomfort of the thermal environment and its relationship with the effects on the health of workers, establishing the main undesirable effects on the health of employees, such as dehydration, muscular pains, rhinitis and dermatitis, present in the different work areas.
