Objective: to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in the administrative personnel of the faculty of human sciences and education of the Technical University of Ambato. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results: Among the personnel with more than 30 years of seniority, elbow and forearm pain predominates with 9.1% and among the personnel with less than 1 year of seniority, dorsal-lumbar pain prevails with 6.1%. Conclusion: The workers of the administrative area of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Education revealed a high prevalence of musculoskeletal symptomatology, especially in the neck, back lumbar, shoulder, hand and wrist regions, due to the fact that presumably the postures adopted during their work activities may increase the probability of presenting musculoskeletal symptomatology.
