Incidence of burnout syndrome as a cause of work absenteeism

Objective: to study Burnout Syndrome in workers of the Hospital General Docente Ambato. Method: Descriptive observational. Results and Conclusion: The dimension Emotional Fatigue predominates in the mild level with a total of 17 cases for 41.5% of the total population, there are 21 cases of depersonalization in the low range with 51.2% of the total and a high personal fulfillment with 17 cases with 41.5% of the workers surveyed. Early identification of risk factors is essential to develop solutions and interventions that could improve the working conditions of workers as preventive measures against Burnout Syndrome.
