Abstract

Objective: to determine the psychosocial risk factors related to occupational stress in the staff of the Cotopaxi Professional Drivers Union during the covid-19 pandemic in the period 2020 - 2021. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results: Within the social behavior category, 27 workers (40%) were found to be at very high risk. Meanwhile, in the psychoemotional category, 18 staff members (27%) are at high and very high risk, respectively. Conclusion: In relation to work-related stress among the institution's staff, the categories of physiological symptoms, intellectual and work-related factors stand out. These categories of occupational stress are present in workers through psychosomatic problems, muscular pain, among others. In addition, there is an inadequate organizational climate and excessive demand for responsibilities.
