Abstract

Objective: to analyze psychosocial risk factors, burnout and health indicators in workers. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results and Conclusion: Exposure to psychosocial factors influences emotional burnout syndrome and the presence of low health indicators in the staff of Patronato Municipal de Latacunga. In fact, psychosocial agents can explain up to 31.3% of the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization; and 12.5% of the blood pressure and tachycardia suffered by the workers of this governmental agency. Factors that should be controlled through psychosocial mitigation plans are: workload, leadership, leeway, and other important points (violence), since they increase the likelihood of burnout and cynicism.
