Evaluation of stress and burnout syndrome in the nursing staff of the hospitalization area

Objective: to evaluate stress and burnout syndrome in the nursing staff of the hospitalization area. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results: A total of 17 female (100%) nurses in the hospitalization service were surveyed. The psychological dimensions depersonalization presented the highest average of 70%, which indicates that the personnel, despite the degree of emotional exhaustion, try to maintain a positive attitude. Conclusion: For the prevention of burnout syndrome in nurses, develop a training program for emotional self-control, implement a relaxation area, and carry out motivational practices to improve their social and individual well-being.
