Abstract

Objective: to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in operational health personnel. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: Odds ratio estimation expresses the probability for the development of MSD. It is determined that health personnel, mainly medical personnel with previous muscular and skeletal pathologies, present a value of 3.93, thus establishing that there is a significant probability of developing this disease. Conclusion: It is determined that the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in the Basic Hospital of Guaranda-Ecuador is present in the study group formed by physicians of different specialties, most of whom develop muscular pain in the neck, affecting their adequate performance and work management.
