Abstract

Objective: to analyze the use of personal protective equipment and the incidence of occupational hazards in construction workers. Method: Descriptive observational, the population was 46 workers of the operative area. The current study shows that the company presents 5% of serious and high risks due to previous training, 5-minute talks before each workday, compliance with prevention standards in the disconnection of electrical networks, carrying out permits for work at heights and work without voltage, added to the fact that there is an adequate use of personal protective equipment, has reduced the impact of exposure of personnel to risks and ensure safety and integrity in the work environment.
