Abstract

Objective: To determine the degree of association between work stress and self-perception of health in physicians and nurses of the emergency area of the Hospital de Especialidades San Juan, in the city of Riobamba, Chimborazo, Ecuador during the year 2020. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results and Conclusions: A considerable negative correlation between EL and PHC was evidenced, highlighting that the greater the exposure to occupational stress, the lower the self-perception of health of the health personnel investigated. A predominance was observed in health professionals working in the emergency area who were exposed to EL and whose health perception was affected.
