Abstract

Objective: to analyze the level of chemical risk due to methyl methacrylate handling in health personnel. Method: Descriptive observational. Results and Conclusions: An exposure dose of 1.05 was calculated, determining a high chemical risk level for exceeding 50 ppm of methyl methacrylate as TLV-TWA, following the UNE 689 standard for an elevation of 2577 meters above sea level, relative humidity of 80%, temperature 18° C in the city of Ambato.  It was determined that the level of chemical risk is high in the professionals working in the dental clinics where the study was applied, exceeding the TLV of methyl methacrylate.
