Abstract

Objective: to estimate the prevalence of psychosomatic symptoms in front-line health personnel of district 18-D04 during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Descriptive observational. Results and Conclusions: Psychosomatic symptoms are found to be present among the study analysis personnel (M= 12.15; SD= 4.42). Moreover, it corresponds to the second group of pathologies of psychological origin of greater affectation present in the sample. The intensity of somatization is manifested below social dysfunction disorders (M= 12.39; SD= 3.57) and above anxiety and insomnia disorders (M= 11.17; SD= 5.03) and depression (M= 8.84; SD= 3.49). The presence of psychosomatic symptomatology combined with other mental health problems found in this study agrees with similar works previously collected in general population, health personnel (especially physicians and nurses) correspond to a population group susceptible to this psychopathological condition.
