Estimation of stress to medical staff due to covid-19 in a critical care unit

Objective: to study the estimation of work stress in medical personnel working at the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: 36% sometimes suffered from work stress during the COVID-19 pandemic and the rest of the doctors, at a very low level of 5%, stated that they never suffered from work stress. Conclusion: A moderate level of percentage of doctors who provided their services in the critical care unit during the 2020 pandemic period was identified, present work stress due to different causes such as inability to fall asleep, few occasions to speak openly with colleagues shift, fear of making a mistake during a medical procedure and overload of other tasks that are not medical, these being the main factors for presenting work stress.
