Risk factors associated with failed extubation in an intensive care unit

Abstract

Objective: to estimate work stress in the nursing staff of the Critical Care Unit of the Quito No.1 Hospital of the National Police in April 2022, which allows us to contribute new knowledge for future research. Method: Descriptive observational. Results and conclusions: The estimation of the level of stress to which the nursing group of the Critical Care Unit is exposed after the full application of The Nursing Stress Scale, obtaining as a result that 53% (9) of the participants are exposed to a moderate level of stress, followed by 35% (6) with mild stress, while in a lower percentage 12% (2) of the respondents are exposed to a severe level of stress, therefore it was estimated that the Most of the nursing staff working in the critical care unit have moderate job stress.
