Risk factors for tobacco use in pregnancy

Objective: To analyze the risk factors of tobacco consumption during pregnancy. Method: Descriptive documentary with a bibliographic review of 19 articles. Conclusion: The effects of smoking during pregnancy is a latent problem and is well known by women, however, due to the addiction that this drug causes, it is very difficult for them to quit even knowing that it can cause fetal development problems, fetal death, complications in childbirth, or problems during the life and development of the child as a growth deficit and obesity, which could result in more serious problems while growing up.
