Objective: Analyze parasitic zoonosis (toxoplasmosis) in the global impact. Method: A qualitative, documentary and non-experimental systematic review was carried out, through a search of articles in databases such as: Pubmed, Scielo, Imbiomed, ClinicalKey and Science Direct. Results and conclusions: Toxoplasmosis is a disease caused in particular by T. gondii encephalitis; of greater importance in recent years with the increase in people infected with the human immunodeficiency virus and those receiving immunosuppressive therapy for different causes. It is important to remember preventive measures that are applied reduce the risks of transmission of the disease. The link between the seropositives and poor hygienic sanitary habits related to food and animals such as dogs and cats denotes the ignorance of the contagion route that enters to perpetuate this zoonosis.
