Genetics of anxiety and depression

Objective: To analyze the genetics of anxiety and depression. Method: To identify the cause of genes in pathologies, we will use some materials and methods, such as studies published in recent years in: PubMed, Scielo, Clínica Key, Cochrane Library, Scopus, Spinger and Google Scholar. Results and conclusions: Some of the different genes that trigger the pathologies studied in this research were found. So it is now easier to discover the genes for anxiety and depression since genetic analyzes are becoming more accessible and complete. These analyzes could help determine subtypes of these diseases as well as help the doctor find the most appropriate drug for each individual. The reviewed studies on both depression and anxiety helped us better understand the prevalence of these disorders among family members, which allows estimation of family risk for the disease.
