Prevention of high blood pressure in street vendors

Objective: To analyze the prevention of arterial hypertension risk factors in street vendors of the 11 de abril association in the city of Tulcán. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results: 70% of the population has not received educational information on arterial hypertension, this being one of the main factors of misinformation. Conclusion: Because of their work and the lack of information about this disease, street vendors have adopted habits that are detrimental to their quality of life. In some cases, the lack of information about the disease, the lack of physical activity, smoking and alcoholism, advanced age, sex, obesity and overweight, and inadequate lifestyle, cause serious problems that lead to the acquisition of this disease or, in some cases, its complications.
