Abstract

Objective: To analyze insufficient prenatal controls in primigravid adolescents. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results: 25% of primigravida adolescents say they are aware of the risks that may arise from not attending prenatal check-ups, namely the presence of birth traumas. Conclusion: To raise awareness among primigravid adolescents by means of prenatal care, thus reducing the complications that put the health of the mother and baby at risk in premature delivery and low birth weight that put the baby's health at risk. The socialization of the importance of attending prenatal check-ups in primigravid adolescents and compliance with the number of prenatal check-ups established in our country, is the guarantee to achieve healthy children and healthy mothers.
