Evaluation of anxiety levels prior to dental treatment in patients with dental problems

Objective: To carry out an evaluation of the levels of anxiety prior to dental treatment in patients in the dental office of the Peninsula Health Center. Method: Descriptive observational study. Conclusion: According to the analysis by dental procedure, those that produce the highest levels of anxiety are exodontia 39%, and the lowest are curettage 10%; in the first case when the patient perceives the anesthetic technique to be used, and in the second when faced with the use of dental instruments such as the curette. In both cases the treatment is hindered, making it impossible to give it the proper continuity, thus neglecting the patient's oral health.
