Incidence of pneumonia in young adult patients with tuberculosis

Objective: To carry out a diagnostic study on the incidence of pneumonia in young adult patients with tuberculosis attended in the pediatric area of the Hospital Provincial General Latacunga. Methods: Review of clinical history of the service provided by 20 nurses. Results: 90% of the nurses knew the biosecurity measures, 20% did not, a problem that could be evidenced at the time of handling the patient causing cross diseases among others. Conclusion: The diagnosis of tuberculosis requires clinical and radiological epidemiological evidence, and its way of interacting in society is community pneumonia that leads to sputum tests, which generates obtain by expectoration, for tuberculosis there is an extract of bacilli culture, identifies the presence with symptomatology in patients.
