Incidence of dermatitis due to the use of masks and alcohol in medical personnel during COVID-19

Abstract

Objective: To determine the incidence of dermatitis due to the use of masks and alcohol. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results: 45% of the population investigated had more than 2 dermatologic symptoms or signs. Conclusion: The incidence of dermatitis caused by the use of masks and alcohol in the medical center Tu Doctor in Cevallos canton during COVID-19 was very relevant. The incidence obtained may be caused by the way of using personal protective equipment according to the position held.
