Psychosocial risk factors and mental health status in workers of a financial institution

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the influence of psychosocial risk factors on the mental health indicators of workers of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito El Sagrario Ltda. Method: descriptive observational. Results: 7% of workers presented a medium risk level and 8% of workers showed a high risk level; that is, 15 workers presented problems in falling asleep or having a restful rest due to feelings of anguish or worry. Conclusion: There is a majority opinion that psychosocial risks are low level, but despite this it is important to take action on the importance of psychosocial risks in order to identify early threats and especially to prevent their occurrence and the damage that their effects entail, avoiding aggravating the health condition of workers.
