Relationship between working conditions and work fatigue in health personnel

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between working conditions and work fatigue in the health personnel of the Bolivar Campesino Social Security, in Ecuador. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results: 70% of women presented a greater risk of fatigue, 28% of whom presented moderate fatigue and 7% excessive fatigue; on the other hand, of the 30% of men, 7% developed moderate fatigue and 3% excessive fatigue. Conclusion: The psychosocial factors that most affected health personnel were work demands and performance pay, which generated demotivation and discomfort in them, with women, in terms of gender, and physicians and dentists, in terms of position, being the most affected, fundamentally during the COVID-19 pandemic.
