Objective: To relate maximum oxygen consumption with sedentary lifestyle, obesity and physical work capacity in administrative and field workers in the oil services company Triboilgas. Method: Observational. Conclusion: The determination of the anthropometric profile practiced, within the medical examination of workers and particularly the observation of: BMI, % of Fat, physical work capacity and maximum oxygen consumption are predictors of the degree of activity of the personnel, as well as the degree of tolerance to effort and its repercussions, which are correlated and allow the occupational physician to take measures aimed at increasing personnel activity and energy cost, improving production and avoiding injuries that could be observed due to fatigue.
