Abstract

Objective: To establish the relationship between Burnout Syndrome and Anxiety Disorder during the COVID-19 pandemic among health personnel working at the Rafael Ruiz Hospital in Ecuador. Method: Descriptive observational type. Results and conclusions: The levels of anxiety reflected in the results obtained from the health personnel of the Rafael Ruiz Hospital, showed that most of them were located in the ranges of low and medium anxiety, which allows concluding that the organism of these professionals reacted with the presence of anxiety before the events and stressors that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic as a defense mechanism. In correspondence with the relationship of the study variables, it was determined through the results obtained in the Chi-square test, that there is no association or relationship between them.
