Objective: To analyze the treatment of gingival recession through the use of platelet-rich fibrin FRP as an adjuvant to connective tissue graft, by comparing scientific articles. Method: Bibliographic search in the PubMed and Scielo databases. Results: Studies have shown that platelet-rich fibrin has the potential to reduce postoperative symptoms and accelerate healing through the stimulation of angiogenesis and matrix biosynthesis. Thanks to their regenerative potential, PRF membranes are a promising alternative to self-managed gingival grafts, with encouraging results in cases of root coverage. Conclusion: The use of platelet-rich fibrin in dentistry has become popular and has been used to treat gingival recession due to its potential to enhance wound healing by releasing a large number of growth factors and platelet cytokines.
