Burnout syndrome in rotating medical interns

Abstract

Objective: To analyze Burnout Syndrome in rotating interns of the medical career of UNIANDES - Ecuador. Method: Data collection was through an internet survey based on the Maslach Burnout Inventory and modified based on our needs, 284 rotating interns of the medical career were surveyed. Results: 40% equivalent to 112 interns may suffer from burnout syndrome in the future and 30% equivalent to 83 interns do not suffer from burnout syndrome. Conclusion: It was determined that 82 interns equivalent to 28% and are in the range of 74-110 points suffer from BOS.
