Objetivo: Analizar la amenorrea primaria desde la literatura científica. Método: Descriptivo documental. Conclusión: La amenorrea primaria es un trastorno ginecológico complejo que requiere un enfoque diagnóstico exhaustivo y personalizado para identificar su etiología subyacente, que puede variar desde anomalías anatómicas hasta disfunciones endocrinas y genéticas. Un diagnóstico temprano y preciso es crucial para prevenir complicaciones a largo plazo, como la infertilidad y problemas psicosociales, y para guiar un tratamiento adecuado, que puede incluir desde modificaciones en el estilo de vida hasta intervenciones quirúrgicas y terapias hormonales.
