Quantitatively, a non-experimental cross-sectional Pearson correlational design was used, the population consisted of 18 teachers between 28 and 45 years old, who have continuous and postgraduate training related to the use of ICT. The correlation is generated at 0.19 which indicates that digital competencies influence but need to be improved in teachers with the intention that the teaching-learning process has greater effectiveness and forcefulness in students. The high school teachers of the Educational Unit Maria Piedad Castillo de Levi are in a little competent level in terms of digital competences, result obtained through the instruments applied in the selected sample.
