Euthanasia and the right to a dignified death in Ecuador

The objective of this article is to analyze the constitutionality of euthanasia and the right to a dignified death in Ecuador. The methodology used was essentially the analysis of cases, having as a result, the viability of the dignified death and its exercise. The concepts of dignified death, the scope of protection of the right to life, dignity, among others that were essential for the permission of euthanasia in Colombia, have been collected in similar terms in our legislation, jurisprudence and doctrine, which allows foreseeing a similar scenario in the short and medium term.
