Tormenta tiroidea en adolescente de 17 años

Objetivo: Analizar la tormenta tiroidea en adolescente de 17 años. Método: Revisión de historia clínica. Conclusión: La tormenta tiroidea en adolescentes es una emergencia endocrina rara pero extremadamente grave que requiere un diagnóstico temprano y un manejo terapéutico rápido y multidisciplinario. La variabilidad en su presentación clínica en jóvenes, junto con la potencial rapidez de progresión, subraya la necesidad de un alto índice de sospecha, especialmente en aquellos con factores de riesgo conocidos. La implementación de un tratamiento agresivo que combine terapia antitiroidea, soporte vital y manejo de complicaciones es crucial para mejorar los resultados y reducir la mortalidad en esta población.
